Exciting times ahead…

As many of you will know, we’re right in the thick of very exciting times here at Salt so let us share a little insight…

Historically, this lovely Port Beach venue has undergone numerous incarnations which have all faced similar challenges due to the isolation of our beautiful beachside location. That being said, the same location and isolation do also provide boundless opportunities.

Thirty years down the track we’re Salt on the Beach. A passionate international team, headed by local father of five and beach lover, Ian Hutchinson. Throughout his several years at the helm, his mission has been simple:  to create an authentic, home-grown beach club which is accessible to all with something of value for everyone.

Despite economic downturn cleaning up hospo business left right and centre, the past few years have seen Salt transition from strength to strength with one exception. The venue is aged and tired, like an old ship, it’s rusting from the outside in!

Enter the ‘R’ word…

After nearly a year of preparation, we are excited to announce that Salt on the Beach is being renovated! Anybody who has renovated or built anything here in Perth will know that it’s stacks of paperwork and lengthy waiting times, but we’re close. We will continue to be open to the public without interruption.

So what’s on the cards?

Think the Salt on the Beach that you know and love but with a new lease of life. Maximised views, adults only sunset deck, a dedicated children’s area, improved disabled access, dedicated function space and whole new kiosk for our beach-goers. With a start date set for Winter 2016, stay tuned as we’ll be posting pictures and updates as we go. Sign up to our Beach Club  for updates delivered straight to your inbox! We have already started with many changes to come this Winter so come on down and check it out!
